We got to the Hotel late Wednesday night. Thursday morning we had appointments and managed to get them all rearranged into the morning so, we could have the afternoon to ourselves.
We met with the second surgeon that would be in on the surgery. We found out Jody would be going home with a feeding tube for 4-6 weeks. They said they don't want to remove it until he is able to eat and sustain his weight without using it. We also found out he will have minimal narcotics. They do a three day block around the surgery. They said this helps speed the healing by having this and not needing narcotics. This was very pleasing to Jody as he HATES narcotics and the way they make him feel. After the week in the hospital they also said he will probably be released to the hotel room for a few days and not our house since we live so far away. Finally done with CTCA for the day and it's our time.
We went to see the Gone with the Wind Museum in Jonesboro, Georgia. He told me this was my Mothers Day and it was Great. We both really enjoyed it (me more since this my all time fav movie). After this we met the family.
Jody's Parents came down with his brother. His sister and her husband drove down as well. My parents drove over with Gannon. We had a nice last big meal out before heading back to our hotel.
